Griffith Observatory Planetarium

Our planetarium show was amazing. The narrator was amazing, making it sound like a recording. Would definitely recommend it if you can spare some time when at Griffith Observatory!

Well worth the visit even though parking took a while very difficult to find parking as there are so many people but it's worth the 7 price.

I advise anyone attending a show to arrive early so the can sit at the back where the best views are. Siting near the middle, some of the bottom of the screen is obscured by the projector at the beginning. Not a big issue but for the best possible experience, go in early and sit at the back. Some amazing... More

Our family of four purchased four tickets to both the shows at the Planetarium and thoroughly enjoyed them. Visually stunning, highly informative, and the narrator was calming and seamlessly wove her words into the overall experience.

An amazing show, and a steal at $7! The lady who was narrating was very good and very relaxing to listen to. I'd definitely see another show there

Thanks to Sam Oschin for underwriting the Griffith Planetarium in the park. It's a great experience for children and adults alike, because astronomical science impacts us all. We toured all through and enjoyed the outside views of LA & the Hollywood sign very clearly. We want to come back some evening for the Star shows and talks. Very worthwhile! ...

The Samuel Oschin Planetarium is located inside the Griffith Observatory and should be visited together. While entrance to the observatory and surrounding park is free, you need to purchase tickets to view a show in the planetarium. Tickets may not be booked in advance and must be purchased on-site. The planetarium currently features 3 shows. We watched "The Ride of... More

What a great way to spend a few hours. It is interesting and you will learn a lot. There are two shows you can see. Both are about 1/2 hour long. One is called "Water Is Life" and the other is called "Centered In The Universe". We saw both of them and I suggest you do the same. It cost... More

The staff is wonderful. Our son had a question and they took a lot of time to not only explain it to him, but everyone who was there. We really enjoyed the show and the lady narrating it was amazing. Could have listened to her talk forever. We made sure to compliment her at the end of the show. The... More

We attended an evening performance of 'Centered in the Universe' and thoroughly enjoyed it. Traffic was heavy as we approached the Observatory, created by people arriving to watch the sunset, so leave plenty of time to get here and find somewhere to park - we had to park on Western Canyon Road and walk up the hill. The Planetarium seating... More
