42 dollars to enter the 2nd floor of the theater and show the stage. Do not waste your hard earned money. If the tour had shown backstage, show how good the sound was , or basically anything it would be interesting. Spend your money elsewhere

Not worth the $23 per person. The tour lasted less than 30 minutes. The most disappointing aspect was the tour giude who was very disintetested in what he was doing. Told us he's an actor who appeared in Modern Family. Made it obvious to us...More

The tour itself is a mere 30 min and comes at a $23 price point. However, it will give fans of the Academy and opportunity to get close to an actual Oscar statue, see the backstage areas and get a glimpse of how it feels...More

Dolby Theatre is an ordinary theater from the outside. The only time worth visiting this theater is when is the Oscar time.

Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie
stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day,
tourists flock here from around the world to see the
iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to
catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close.
Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas
the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and
hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night

You can press your nose against the glass but you will see very little, just a dimly lit lobby. You need to book the tour to see anything useful :-)

They are quite close to each other, tour of the Dolby Theatre is truly 'behind the scenes' plus commentary about the Oscars and you stand on the stage. Chinese Theatre foot and handprints are outside, I'm not sure if you can... More

I ate most of my meals at Mel's diner, a couple of blocks away. Great food & they had Groupons available at the time I was there so it was also a great deal!
