Battleship family fun!
We had a fantastic time altogether. Seeing the history and majesty of this ship. I have now visited 3 of 4 of the Iowa museum ships.

It is a big ship. Moving on.
Sep. 2021
My grandson wanted to go back to see the ship so we did. Again, it is a ship. A big ship. We can walk around it, take a tour, but you have other things to do, I suggest you do that.

The history is sort of interesting. I learned it in the 4th grade. If you are not from the US, you may find it interesting.

The people are nice. The pricing is way too high.

A good history lesson
We went on a weekday morning in late August and only a handful of other people were there. We were able to follow a set walking path and read the signs and items on the ship, but there were no tours or other volunteers throughout the ship due to the pandemic. My boys were still about to do the scavenger hunt though and we learned a lot. Was still a good experience!

Fun for kids and adults
Jul. 2021
Went with 5 and 6 year old boys. There were volunteers (?) everywhere willing to tell stories and answer questions. They had a scavenger hunt for the kids to do throughout the ship. Nice gift shop at the end. Well worth a visit!

Fancinating history!

This is a great place for history buffs and kids to learn about battleships. They frequently have retired Navy sailors onboard sharing their stories. It is very engaging couple of hours!

Cool experience
May 2021 • Couples
One of the biggest battle ship in the world (Japanese Yamato is a little bit bigger but not so powerful than IOWA)! Highly recommend to visit. IOWA has a really battle experience in WW II. You may know everything about ship history, operating, life on the ship. There is available phone app where you can find some special details about each part of a tour. Wi-fi is available aboard :)

Educational and a piece of history
Apr. 2021 • Family
This ship has seen a lot. We went on Monday morning, it was pretty quiet, lots of time to explore. Appreciate the volunteers sharing their knowledge and experiences. Totally worth supporting a piece of history.

The Battleship of Presidents
Apr. 2021 • Couples
It’s nice to have the inside exhibits back open again! It is known as the Battleship of Presidents for being visited by three of them. It has a nice collection of museum exhibits that highlights the long and honored service of this ship! Check out the various guns and missiles on the deck too! It also boasts nice views of the surrounding harbor. Definitely worth a visit or more!
