    Fun and free
Stores, entertainment, and restaurants just outside of Universal Studios. The live music is nice in the evening. There is a movie theater. Hi Sugar is a very nice candy store. The shoe palace is a pretty good sneaker store with Nike, Adidas, and other gear. Voodoo donuts is pretty popular. There are several sit down restaurants as well as some fast food, like Panda Express. Definitely a must visit if you are visiting Universal Studios. Even if not, there are some nice spots for strolling and people watching. Love the fountain that is good for playing in, especially on a hot day or evening.

Excellent customer service at Universal Studios City Walk Store
We went to Universal Studio Store City Walk on our last day to buy our daughter a Harry Potter Book which we saw the day before in the parks store. I would like to say a big thank you to Luis for arranging for this book to be bought by a colleague from inside Universal Studios Park store as City Walk store didn't stock it. Our Daughter is very pleased with her book. Excellent customer service definitely recommend.

    Relaxed evening
One one hand, CityWalk is full of chains so not the sort of place I'd usually like. On the other we were staying at the Hilton Universal and very much appreciated somewhere easy to pop out for a pedestrianised stroll, shop and something to eat as opposed to heading out into the "real" world of LA! There were things going on such as a Gabby's House meet and greet and there were lots of kids enjoying playing with the fountains.

It is the only free-of-charge part of Universal City. It is interesting and one of the most popular attractions in LA. It is a picturesque and joyful walk and some outlets are available for souvenirs.

Good selection of restaurants and shops. Best to eat here than in Universal Studios as much better choice. Voodoo donuts is a must.

Great shopping and dinning area outside the park, it is nice to wander through during the day as it is not busy as everyone is in the park, it has different things to do and you can easily spend more than 3 hours there, especially if you go to the cinema and have something to eat
We went by the Metro, and there is a land train which takes you up the hill and drops you off right outside the area, so it is easy to get to even if you don't drive
Worth visiting if you are not going to the park

A Fun experience for families and kids. I just wanted to see the movie sets and locations which I did. Other than that there are tons of movie themed rides which I was not interested in but it may be a lot of fun for kids who enjoy amusement parks. I'd advise to come early so you can stand in line and experience all the rides if you would like. Other than movie sets, i enjoyed Waterworld stunts the most.
