Finding an 18+ club for New Years in LA was very difficult, so stumbling across a great club like this was amazing. We had such a good time, the music was great, the people were great. There was a smoking area outside and a lot of drama-free people so it made for a great night. The only downsides: a long... More

I am not from L.A. but I have been invited to this place on numerous times and was a guest on the list and NEVER had any problems. I loved the ambience, the staff was great, the music was awesome, the dance floor is sooooo huge, the lighting is perfect, not too dark or too bright, just right. The second... More

If partying is about the crowd then folks should know that they might get seriously disappointed at Grand Ave club. The internet somehow does not reflect this aspect at all. The crowd may be good human being but absolutely not sophisticated and seems to come from the other end of the spectrum. This is not to hurt the people who... More

I worked for Jim and Myrna Myron 35 years ago and the club is still busy and they still know how to make it " The Place To Go " ! I've seen the format and the crowds change from Big Band to 50's Rock & Roll to Disco to Salsa . Jim has always tried to have somthing for... More

It was horrible. I went once and never went back. The drinks were horribly expensive for the smallest shots I have EVER seen at a club. It was $5 for a tequila shot the size of those little cups they give you with children's cough syrup. There were absolutely NO cute guys that were worth even trying to impress. The... More

I've been going to Grand Avenue for the past 3 years and I've experienced a change in security, as well as changes in trends... I've got to say that Friday Nights (Club Naked, biweekly) is off the roof, but the other nights at Grand vary from 5stars to no stars. If you're interested in checking out the Grand, make sure... I went on a Thursday night when power 106 was there and it was hot. The music was good and the club is nice.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
