We're a light-hearted look at the Dark Side of Hollywood. Since 2004 Dearly Departed Tours has provided a 3 hour tour of the Deathstyles of the Rich and Famous. Mae West and Bela Lugosi, to Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson, with a side of Hugh Grant and Chris Brown and Rihanna thrown in for good measure. "Creepy, Hilarious, but not for kids or the prissy." - Lonely Planet. Also available, The Helter Skelter Tour - based solely on the Manson Murders. Join Scott Michaels, the host of the documentary, The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter will unravel this bizarre time in American History. American Horror Story based their "Eternal Darkness Tour" on us and we've been featured on Ghost Adventures, Anthony Bourdain's The Layover, E! 20 Most Horrifying Hollywood Murders and The Girls Next Door. In 2017 we opened our Artifact Museum which includes a piece of The Hindenburg, Rock Hudson's death bed, Natalie Wood's prescription bottle and Jayne Mansfield's 1966 Buick death car.

Dearly Departed Tours provides a welcome, refreshing macabre twist on the LA bus tour. Their "tragic history" tour goes around Hollywood's seedier history and is a blast! Be sure to check out their Museum afterwards where you can see the Jayne Mansfield death car!

The tour and guide were excellent. The tour guide I believe with name of Brian was so knowledgeable and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour.

It was fun and all. But it could be less touristy and more murdery. Didn't visit what I expected. But it wasn't a bad time

This tour ensures that you get so much more than the average tour round the homes of the rich and famous. The combination of the weird, the tragic, and the unpleasant made sure this tour showed a side of Hollywood that isn’t always shared. Our...More

My friend and I had a fabulous time on the Helter Skelter tour. It was incredibly informative, both of the case, the participants and Los Angeles itself. The time literally flew by. The shuttle bus we rode in was incredibly clean and well maintained too....More

I really just want to say don’t go without being specific because the employees I met seemed nice, but this was just awful. Our guide never stopped to breathe as he ranted about personal opinions that were off the topic of the tour. He was...More

We took the tour with Brian who we cannot recommend him enough. It's evident he absolutely loves living in Hollywood and does a ton of research to ensure we get the most out of the tour. He has an interesting fact about something on every...More

In Hollywood for the New Years weekend and wanted to take a tour. After much research, this one sounded the most interesting. I was blown away by the amount of information Scott knew about the story. If you’re in the area, take this tour!

Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie
stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day,
tourists flock here from around the world to see the
iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to
catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close.
Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas
the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and
hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night

Hi John. We visit Westwood Memorial Park on the tour. It's a tiny cemetery with a lot of A-Listers. Marilyn, Natalie Wood, Farrah Fawcett, Dean Martin... Our office is across the street from Hollywood Forever Cemetery... More
