For miles down the highway we kept seeing old and weathered signs reading "Cheese Factory Outlet" and "As Seen on Food Network," so we kept counting down the miles until the exit because how can you NOT make a point to stop at a place that advertises like that? The Loleta Cheese Factory is located off the beaten path, so... More

I visited with my 4-H Field Trip Group today, and what a time we had! Everyone I talked to from setting it up to completion was absolutely great to work with. Bob came and gave us a special cheese talk, beyond fascinating. We got to sample cheese, do the scavenger hunt in the garden and eat at the cafe in... More

Delicious cheese and sweet people. Beautiful garden in the back and loleta is a cute tiny town. You can watch them make the cheese through large windows and taste the cheeses. Take a walk through the little Main Street of Loleta and visit the meat market too.

What a great little cheese shop. Samples galore, great tips on how to "store" cheese which I never knew, nice yard area to walk around, cute little gift shop. Staff very informative. You can watch as they are making cheese through a glass. Cheese is great.

This place makes lots of cheese and they are happy for you to try the different varieties...samples of each type are available to try. There is a small gift shop and there is a small place inside to get grilled cheese sandwiches. They have a small garden to walk around in.

This little gem is well worth the ten-minute detour. There was probably twenty or so kinds of cheese available for sampling, and the staff are more than willing to discuss the flavors, the cheese-making process, and other local attractions. You can find jack, cheddar, havarti, and fontina, in smoke, dill, chipotle or jalapeno flavors. If it's a nice day, you... More

Disappointed that the day we stopped there was no cheese in the making however it was a cute stop, the kids scavenger hunt was a great idea to get them thinking and moving. We had a beautiful sunny day so it was nice to enjoy the peaceful garden with a nice hot drink. Definitely a nice stop on a drive... More

Love it, love the cheese. I always stop in when ever I am driving by the area. You can taste everything and the prices are good. So fresh when you get it home it last so much longer than normal cheese from the store. Great flavors!

A great place to visit on the coast they have over thirty samples to try. With a new expansion to include a sandwich bar and gift shop a must see. With chocolates also, and you can enjoy watching how they make the cheese. Can't wait to visit again. With very attentive and knowledgeable people to answer all your question. Great... More
