We found McGrail after reading an article on 7x7 and wanted to check the place out. They didn't talk about the views so we were amazed when we got there to see the views the patio offers are beautiful and probably the best in Livermore. Very beautiful tasting room which when the doors are opened offers those amazing views. They... More

Our team took our own lunch, and the winery supplied beautifully set tables out on their deck where we enjoyed the view and their wines. Most gracious staff, enabled a lovely afternoon

We love their Cabernet's although they have many other varietals that are quality wines. You can sit outside, look at the gorgeous views of Livermore. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Overall, a great place to visit and enjoy.

This is a very nice winery with outdoor seating and bocce ball. Feels like one could pack a lunch and spend some quality time. The wine wasn't as compelling as others that we have tasted though.

Wine Tasting in Livermore does not get any better than this. McGrail sports both the finest in hand crafted wines and the best views in the Livermore area. Combine that with an attentive, friendly, personable staff and you have a winning experience. Their reds...particularly their cab...for my palate are the to be found in the region. Enjoy the hospitality, view... More

Was there for an charity event. The wines produced is okey, not outstanding, but not bad. The venue is very dog friendly, with lots of animal lovers, so if you are part of fitting the profile (and especially, living in the vicinity), this is definitely a place to hang out. The patio is a nice touch for a winery/tasting room.

McGrail is a fun place to go and taste wine; while I have enjoyed finer wine, the staff here is stellar and the events here are fine. The wine for such is quite good.

Last October, we traveled from Ohio to Napa and Sonoma, one of our favorite places to spend time with friends. After we spent our time there, we decided to explore some other "options" in California. One of greatest wineries we found was McGrail Winery in Livermore. The staff was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgable. The wine was excellent, especially the... More

I've been to several winery's in my time and I have to say this one is truly a grand experience. Loved the intimate vibes and the great tasting wines. Had many great conversations with the staff and learned a lot about the winery and their process. My favorite wines were the Cabernet from 09' and the James Vincent. Also love... More
