A small group of us visited Rios-Lovell on a Wednesday afternoon including an out of state visitor. The tasting room is a large bright room with plenty of space, including at the tasting bar. The people behind the bar were very professional, knowledgeable and very down to earth. The samples we tried were very good and reasonably priced. Didn't try... More

Dropped by to taste what they had to offer and walked away with a Chardonay for dinner. The setting was beautiful in the Livermore Valley. We enjoyed some of our own cheese and crackers and their Merlot.

My friend and I were greeted very warmly by the owner Mr. Rios when we arrived. We hit every winery on that road and no one was near as friendly, in fact we weren't even acknowledged at several places we stopped. We tasted all the wines we wanted and Mr. Rios didn't charge us a cent....not sure if this is... More

My wife and I went with my brother and sister in-law to go taste some port because my wife likes port. On our first step into the place it had a strong smell of vomit or something rancid. We made our way to to tasting bar were a young woman was waiting on two men. She did not acknowledge us... More

My last trip to this winery in 2011 was stellar. This time? Not so good. Their signature Barbera was $12 a bottle, NOW $22 (-he's putting his 3 kids through college you know) They've added a nice wine-bar, but eliminated the stellar and much needed Deli along Tesla road. Change for the better? I don't think so...

This is indeed, one of the most charming wineries in all the valley, with a GREAT adjacent deli. It sits on a corner on Tesla, on a precipice in the Livermore valley and has outdoor patio/outdoor seating...Would be LOVELY for a small wedding/party, that's for sure. The owner is charming. The wines? Well, not so "hot". Probably the most popular... More
