Save your money and your vehicle. Road is full of pot holes that you have to dodge, and there is one big one just as you approach the drive thru tree. Other than the drive through tree, there is nothing to see other than their high priced gift shop. Total waste of money!

So this is the third time I have carted friends up to see this kitschy attraction. It's not as good as Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox further into the Redwoods and Trees of Mystery but it seems to be like Disneyland for the adults. It's only $5 to get in and there is a lovely lake, some more... More

Ok, you just have to do this one. Its $5 and basically an admission fee to shop in the overpriced gift shop - but worth it. We were there at a slow time and had no wait time. This must be one of the old time original roadside attractions. The overall property could use a bit of maintenance but nothing... More

After seeing this on TV for many years, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a short detour and do the drive thru tree ourselves. Admission is very reasonable and the drive in sure gives you some perspective to the size of the trees. There are lovely little carvings along the way in, that keep you looking and entertained... The struggle is real: Can you actually drive by this place and NOT give it a try? We of course made the pilgrimage. Our visit was on a weekday in October. Not a single car in front of us. You pay the $5.00 entrance fee, take a few pictures and then take the leap. We enjoyed the drive to the... More

We had no problem in an Acura MDX - tight squeeze, but you're driving thru a tree. It is $5. Took about 45 mins due to the line - holiday weekend and all. Please don't worry or complain if your car doesn't make it or you're too scared to do it - facing your fears or running from them is... More

Loved our drive through the "Avenue of the Giants", our afternoon lunch stop - drive through of Chandler Tree was a highlight. We loved the fun little market and the lady there was very nice. Highly recccomend, it is worth the family history making stop...

We had a great time here - tight fit but amazing to see how large the trunks of these redwood beauties really are - budget about 20-30 minutes for this stop (in case of lineups)

We were staying nearby and decided to 'drive through the tree' $5 for the pleasure .It did give us a taste of what was to come on the' Avenue of the Giants'. It was a bit of fun- it was great taking photos and watching others trying to see if they would file through!

We stopped by this drive-thru tree on our way up to Humboldt Redwoods State Park. The place pretty much consists of the one giant redwood, a gift shop, a pond and a pretty forest. I have to admit, trying to fit through the tree was amusing, and we got a fun touristy pic out of it. It kind of made... More
