No app. Can’t scan your boarding card more than once for multiple entry. Terrible communication by staff. They shut the gate on my husband after I boarded because he had to get another ticket because they can’t scan one card twice. Take an Uber. The...More

I don’t commute but take the ferry to the city or to a giants game occasionally. Nice, quick scenic ride and avoids the driving/ parking Problems of SF. But parking at the ferry is very tight....the main lots fills earlier w/ commenters. Try the overflow...More

Recommended to use the ferry to go to Sausalito both cheap and quick and so easy to get tickets this gives a good view of both Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge and great views of both leaving San Francisco and of Sausalito

I keep thinking of that scene in Alien, where the mechanic is saying "We have to do this in Dry Dock." When you first approach the boat to board, you can't help but notice the rust and stains on the hull. The carpeting is 10...More

This is the civilized ... and convenient ... commute. The only negative is that since the Larkspur ferry became so popular, the ferry parking lot fills up early.

I never had a problem. Check to see if the ferry you are taking is running. We drove in for a 10: am ferry and mechanical problems had canceled that one trip.
