Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a gorgeous, iconic, small park in Laguna Beach. It’s a great place for dogs to run around. And it’s one of the best places in Orange County to spot whales (during gray whale migration season) and dolphins without going out to sea. And if you’re lucky you might see a seal on Bird Rock as well as bunnies in the grassy areas.

There’s a lot of street parking in front of the park as well as in the neighborhood, but on weekends it does get busy.

A classic Laguna cove. Nearby rocks (pathway to other coves) to explore tide pools and the crashing waves.
A (amazingly clean) bathroom at the bottom of the steep walk.
Along the Laguna Tram line for those having trouble finding a parking place.

Laguna Beach is a gem in itself, but this little park was the icing on our Southern California trip. If you like open water, there's room to swim. If you want to play around with a boogie board it's a place to do so, however, the waves weren't epic the day we were there. We just dipped our toes, and watched the sunset. Parking is scarce, and remember it's in a neighborhood so use your polite, "It's someone else's neighborhood" voice.

Set your GPS to the corner of Circle and Cliff Drive in Laguna Beach and you'll end up steps away from the true gem that is Crescent Bay. This is a beautiful crescent shaped piece of beach maybe around three football fields long surrounded by beautiful million dollar homes nestled within cliffs on one side, and crystal clear ocean on the other. The closest thing to a private beach that I have encountered on public property. I almost felt as if i was trespassing as we opened our umbrella and spread our towels. Parking is tight and metered so bring some change. Once parked, you don't want to leave and risk losing your parking, nor do you want to climb back up to your car, so bring everything you need for a break trip including munchies. Make the trip, you won't be disappointed!

The view from the park is beautiful, it has a great lookout over the beach below. You have to go through the neighborhood to access the beach. If you go down to the beach, the beach was great and there are tide pools right under the park cliff to explore.

Probably the most beautiful beach in Laguna beach! This beach has everything (except parking)--gorgeous scenery, sealife, snorkeling, waves, tide pools, great sand, restrooms, and rinse station. Family had one if the best days of our trip here playing in the waves and exploring.

Note: there is no beach access on Crescent Bay dr. just a look out point. The main access to the beach and path to the restroom/rinse station is one block south where the north end of Cliff rd exits onto the coast highway.

This must be in all the guide books for tourists as locals stay away from this very crowded spot with aggressive tourists elbowing for photos.

Between Heisler Park and Crescent Bay Point Park, almost every street has a "cove" egress point so the public can make its way down to hidden gems of beaches. The coves pretty much end (in this northerly direction) at the overlook bluff here at Crescent Bay Point Park.

Walk down every set of cove stairs (and back up) for a little cardio and for the views and snippets of beach life.

The neighborhood around Crescent Bay Point Park consists of very pricey and exceptionally beautiful homes, all so skillfully landscaped and professionally maintained. Well, the 1% has to live somewhere.

The park has impressive views and equally impressive sculptures. There are two tribute benchs, expressing 50 years of love for his wife, with very impressive tiling inside the motifs. Perhaps one shows his much-loved wife in her youth; some of the inset tiles (set inside the whimsical animal images) are photographs.

The park has vast expanses of grass and a rounded amphitheater (on a min-scale) showcases a denizen of the deep and a pelican sculpture in the back. There's a raised, curved concrete seating area around the seal (or sea lion, I didn't check to see if the animal had ears).

Parking is challenging. We wish you luck with that.

Daily watch the sea lions, sea birds, and sometimes dolphins and seals. If you are lucky you will see a whale migrating passed you. Spend minutes or hours but do not miss this beautiful spot.
