Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great people watching in downtown! As you stroll past unique restaurants, galleries and shops you can enjoy live street music and checking out your fellow explorers along Forest Ave, Broadway, PCH or one of the many other bustling streets.

Did the Heisler Park Walk. Really great way to enjoy the beach and wonderful park, but not get wet or sandy. Nice walks. Kids loved the scavenger hunt aspect of the walk. Some finds were easy and some a bit harder—which kept them interested. I enjoyed the descriptions of each stop

You will enjoy walking throughout Laguna Beach but the most spectacular times are in the early am or late afternoon. The morning walk through the majestic Heisler features the crashing waves with the sun rising tha provides spectacular photos and the fresh breath taking air to begin your day. From it is short walk into the village with excellent coffee houses or restaurants with vegan menus or full electric breakfast. The retail and surf shops open at 10:00am.
From 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm you will witness and experience some of the most beautiful and memorable sunsets you will ever experience from Heisler Park and all along the beach walkways.

Visit this beach even if you are not equipped for the beach. It has pretty easy walking paths. The views are amazing over the ocean. There are also many flowers, plants and palm trees that sit along the paths on the cliff side. Plenty of benches, if you just want to sit with a book.
If you do have the beach gear, the sandy beaches are gorgeous, nice and clean. We also spotted that they have Beach volley ball all set up.

We recently visited Luguna beach and as always it was a pleasant experience. It was a little crowded probably due to the popularity but manageable to walk around and enjoy great dining and ice cream shops. We have always been able to get a street parking spot close to the beach which makes it easier to get in and out. The meters are for 3 hours which gives plenty of time to shop and go to the beach without having to go back and plug meters.

Was going to stop up at Malibu beach but it was Father's Day weekend and packed!!! Santa Monica pier we couldn't even get into as the parking lot was overflowing and traffic was backed up for miles ! Huntington Beach was packed, Newport beach was packed so we decide to drive down to Laguna Beach and so glad we did it's beautiful! The only downfall is the tar deposits:(

Gorgeous beach, sun, sand, surf and serenity all in one place. Great place for families with young kids. If you are lucky you might also spot dolphins 😇

What a great day! The walk is laid out very easy to follow with the map and highlights if you have your phone you can read about each stop. My husband daughter and I treated it like a scavenger hunt. We learned so much about Laguna Beach and saw some great new spots I can't wait to revisit. Great for locals and visitors, every time you do it I'm sure you would see something new! You can go at your own pace and even take some detours if you want. I loved that it included art, blooms, ocean views and landmarks all in one! Thanks so much for putting this together... can't wait to try your other walks.

Thanks for your great feedback Michelle W! In the next couple of months, I will try and put together my free self guided tour of the HIP District in Laguna Beach. Come back soon to my website to find that one. Then in 4-5 years, once all my kids are in college, I will go back to giving the tours. Hope to see you on one of those. : )
