Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

EXCELLENT collection of unknown Dr Seuss sculptures and painting and his “Taxidermy” was a really awesome stumble upon! Some racy paintings from someone you purely associate with children. Don’t miss it!

We decided to stop in because...well...who doesn't have fond memories of at least 1 Dr. Seuss book, right? It was smaller than we expected, but it was wonderful. You walk into the Dr. Seuss taxidermy, and though I never want any heads on my wall I loved it. Onto some great prints and paintings, some very familiar and others that were new to me, and I thought I had seen them all. My grandson and I walked thru talking about all the stories and what our favorites are. Just a great time. The curator was super pleasant and open to any questions or comments my grandson had.
NEXT DOOR is the National Geographic Gallery! JUST AMAZING, jaw dropping photos that captivated us all. But lets face it, that is what National Geographic is known for right? They did not fail to deliver.

We spent about an hour in here, mostly on the Dr. Seuss exhibit. We learned a lot about Dr. Seuss, the influences on his work, and his artistic process. Very cool.

I walked into Legends Gallery with my 9 y/o to see the Dr. Seuss exhibit, from the end of the gallery I noticed one of the employees did not take his eyes away fro us; he kept staring from a distance. Being uncomfortable my child and I lingered a few minutes on the exhibit near the entrance. This "gentleman" kept on eye-balling us, then a white couple came into the gallery and he immediately walked up to them and asked, "how's it going you two?" And very amicably began a conversation with them - needles to say I felt discriminated. I will never set foot in that place again - that's too bad too as I intended to make a purchase. Oh, well! Some people maintain the tradition of ignorance and prejudice; what a shame!

La Jolla is filled with galleries and stores. This gallery is especially cool because it focuses on some more well known work. Was worth it when we went because they had the Dr. Suese work on display.

We popped in yesterday for a quick meander through their exhibit. Glad we did. Their collection was worth seeing.

It was so cool! They have really neat "taxidermy" heads of the Seuss characters, and many sketches and paintings never seen before. Must see!

This gallery has "unorthodox taxidermy" and other artwork from my favorite poet. Worth a quick 10 or 15 minutes of your time if you are strolling around in La Jolla.

The owner and his son are such a fun and enthusiastic duo! His son Brian was very kind to my 4-year-old even when he spilled his lemonade on the carpet.
