Winding drive thru residential areas to a fantastic hilltop offering 360 degrees views of the area overlooking LaJolla. Parking tight in the immediate circle, but there is an adjacent lot. In addition, there are hundreds of plaques of service members from all the branches. It is very moving to see the photos and read the stories. Free to park and... More

Very touching monument recognizing those who have served. Very peaceful on top of the mountain and with excellent views. A nice drive through beautiful homes of La Jolla.

This is a must-see attraction. The views of La Jolla and of downtown San Diego are breathtaking. It is a completely free attraction (no charge for parking or admission).

This is a good example of how to present a memorial site. The details of each of the listed people contains a photo and details of their service achievements.. In addition to this the 360 degree view of San Diego is fantastic.

We almost didn't get here because we were pressed for time and made a wrong turn. Take the time to visit! Not only is it a beautiful memorial for veterans, you get fabulous views of the city all the way around.

We visited Mound Soledad on a Sunday morning. The drive up was nice. Reaching the top there were parking spaces and we didn't have to wait which was quite surprising. A great opportunity to take 360 degree view pictures of San Diego and catch a glimpse of Mexico.

You can see for miles overlooking the towns and the shoreline. The military patronage walls are a great way to remember those who have served our country well. More parks like this should be developed around the USA for remembering are military.

I have traveled here a few times over a 16 year period of time. Each time, the Memorial was more fully decorated. I did learn that the lawsuit was settled, regarding a religious symbol being on public land. A private entity bought the property, so that is no longer an issue. Occasionally, one can see the Docent, or Volunteers who... More

Nice lung-busting hill climb, and fabulous views of the area. Nicely maintained park. Poorly maintained streets on the way down!

This is a Military Memorial site on a beautiful vista. You can see east and west San Diego county with no obstructions. One of the best places to watch fireworks at night with its panoramic views. Thanks to all that have served!!
