** CLOSED Nov.1, 2017 to April 1, 2018 ** Enjoying San Diego's perfect climate means adopting a beach life-style and exploring the magnificent Pacific Ocean Coast. There's no better way to do it than in a kayak! In a single tour you will experience southern California's surf culture, observe several species of marine animals, and visit 4 different marine environments: sandy beach, rocky coast, kelp forest, and open ocean - each with it's unique characteristics and wildlife viewing opportunities. Come see the Sea Lions, Leopard Sharks, Pelicans, Cormorants... and of course, the Caves! While our ultimate destination is the magnificent sea caves that the ocean has carved from ancient cliffs, the true beauty of the area is all around the caves. Please don't have your heart set on entering the caves as this is not always safe to do. Instead, open your eyes to the details around you and you will never be disappointed! We use stable sit-on-top kayaks that are very user friendly.

There are a lot of choices for kayaking in La Jolla. And they are all basically located right next to each other and launch from the same spot on the beach. While I have never used the other vendors, I did use La Jolla Sea...More

The staff is very knowledgeable and safety is a top issue. Beautiful sights with all the rock formations, sea lions, and birds. Only reason I would not give it an excellent was that our group was too large to fully enjoy. Had to wait for...More

Staff is very concerned about the safety and comfort of the kayakers. There was also a very good explanation of the history, ecology, and geography of the trip. Staff was good at getting the kayakers past and back through the surf. It seems as most...More

The experience was pleasant. The place was easy to find and the staff was very helpful. However it would have been nice to have showers available once back at the facility and after we returned the wet suits.

I would highly recommend this tour to La Jolla caves. Tour guide was great, it was a great workout, and the sights were awesome. Entered from the beach, saw some Garibaldi, and of course the sea lions while navigating some of the caves. I would...More

We went into one cave - and that was alright, but the ocean was chock full of other kayak tours. It was more crowd control and management than anything else. Even as we travelled along the coastline, we couldn't quite linger or really even take...More

Hi, Not to worry, we do not have any Tiger sharks in La Jolla and this part of the Pacific Ocean. We only see Leopards, Soup Fins and very rarely a few Seven Gills sharks in the area. Dominick.
