On a quiet perch in view of coastal cliffs that tower above the Pacific...

On a quiet perch in view of coastal cliffs that tower above the Pacific Ocean, The Spa at Torrey Pines is a destination defined by relaxation and revitalization. Located within the celebrated Lodge at Torrey Pines resort, The Spa provides visitors with a unique experience inspired by the pristine La Jolla coastline, including a commitment to using marine and botanical-based products, and ocean-inspired treatments delivered by knowledgeable therapists who always have wellness in mind. The 9,500-square-foot Spa at Torrey Pines is a serene space that follows the fundamentals of feng shui and takes design cues from The Lodge's early-1900s-era Craftsman-style architecture. Fourteen treatment rooms are complemented by dry saunas, herbal-infused steam rooms, aromatherapy inhalation rooms and an inviting relaxation lounge, where a crackling fireplace is encircled by chaise lounges and chairs, and guests are invited to sip purifying blueberry-acai tea by the glowing fire. Within the separate women's and men's locker rooms, guests will discover The Spa at Torrey Pines' custom line of rosemary- and sage-scented cleansing and conditioning products, as well as an assortment of high-end amenities from Moroccan Oil, Phytomer and more. Visitors can also browse at the nearby gift shop for a selection of products used and supported by the spa, from respected lines like SkinCeuticals, NV Organics and Farmhouse Fresh to premium makeup, lounge apparel, jewelry and other hand-selected gifts. The Spa's extensive menu of services includes massages and advanced skin care therapies as well as healing baths and body wraps. Guests are welcome to stick to the tried and true, like a classic Swedish massage or anti-aging facial, or opt for one of The Spa's exclusive services, such as the "Torrey Pines Par-Fection," a golf-oriented sports recovery massage focusing on tired forearms, the lower back, neck and feet - and an homage to the spa's location at the edge of the world-renowned Torrey Pines Golf Course. The pinnacle of The Spa's offerings is an indulgent collection of "rituals," or packages, such as The Spa at Torrey Pines Signature Ritual, a bundle of luxurious treatments comprising hydrotherapy, a personalized massage and a Coastal Sage body scrub - the latter an homage to the 17 types of detoxifying sage found in the adjacent Torrey Pines State Reserve. Central to all services is a focus on wellness and the unique needs of each individual. In addition to these healing treatments, beauty appointments for the face, hair and nails are available on request. Complimentary for guests of The Spa at Torrey Pines are the nearly unlimited amenities at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, including a grand-scale, heated pool and whirlpool, a fitness center featuring state-of-the-art cardio and strength-training equipment, professionally led yoga classes and twice-daily guided nature walks through the nearby Torrey Pines State Reserve.

If you are looking for a good facial, you will be very pleased with the service. If you are looking for a spa experience and a place to relax for several hours, you might be a little disappointed. The sauna and steam room are close to the lockers and the relaxation room is a co-ed room with just a few... More

50 min is always too short for a massage, but when the therapist holds your shoulder blades for what felt like 5 minutes and your head for another, I'm not happy. I want a good, solid 50 min massage, and I didn't get it here. Being the spa is in a 5 star resort, I would also expect they would... More

I was able to indulge during my November stay at The Lodge at Torrey Pines and treat myself to a facial at this spa. Starting with the interior which is inspired by the designs of Charles Rennie MacIntosh you know you are in for a relaxing experience. My facialist was friendly but not overly chatty allowing me to lie down... More

While I don't consider my self massage receiving expert, I've had enough to know a good one from a bad one. Did the 80 minute Swedish massage with Elise. AMAZING!!!!! The relaxation room pre and posy massage was well named. If you are staying at the Lodge do not miss an opportunity to check it out.

Lovely spa, small but quaint with beautiful white and iridescent tile work and classic dark wood. Nice amenities and fun touches like samples of special leg shave cream. Super soft robes. I especially like that you can enjoy the spa as a hotel guest without added "costs."

My sister, niece and I had massages scheduled to start out our girls trip. There couldn't be a better way to start a vacation. I had the 80 minute cobblestone massage done by Abria. I have had stone massages before and this was a top massage by Abria. My sister and niece had aromatherapy 80 minute massages. Jeff provided the... More

Great day for us. Just be sure to confirm the day before to ensure they have you scheduled for all you asked for. Overall, we had a wonderful day. Massages for both of us and a manicure for the wife.

I came early to enjoy the amenities of the spa...the steam room, sauna, quiet room. You also get access to the fitness area but I didn't have a chance to use. It was great not a ton of people. I was able to get a spa the morning of since it was raining. I had the 80 min hot rock... More

As a guest at the hotel, I decided to book a pedicure. The spa is very nice and I had good customer service. The technician was professional and very helpful on travel ideas when asked. She also is the first tech I have ever had that offered to touch up any spots if they smeared during my stay. I didn't... More
