About
It was supposed to be a children's pool, but the harbor seals took over and it's a main tourist and local attraction. Great picture spot.

Ok, first things first, "What is that smell?!?!", right? Well, you'll get over it before too long. Remember, this is their house, we're visitors. Ok, PSA outta the way. What an awesome place to get up close and personal with wildlife! I mean they're everywhere,...More

Seals have fully booked for the season. Sad as it is the easiest accessible beach in the area. Impressive beach rescue building and staff.

The Children's Pool is a great inlet in the Pacific Ocean along La Jolla park where kids and sea lions swim. The park overlooks the ocean and waves cracking along the rocks.. Great photo-ops, picnic area, walking path. A couple of blocks from downtown La...More

Children’s pool is open to people from May to December. Ignore the crazies who want you off the beach. Stay away from the seals. The yellow rope has no legal bearing. Once the California Supreme Court rules, it will be open year round.

A nice spot to visit in La Jolla to take in the views of rocks, sand, surf, and seals. The sea lions hang out more towards La Jolla Cove, but here you'll see the seals lounging around on the rocks. The Sea Wall is fun...More

We visited the Children's Pool hoping to see the sea lions. It is a very beautiful setting on the coast. But the only animals we saw on the beach were birds and in the water, human beings. Parking could be found but was a bit...More

Parking difficult. Beach roped off. Cones and mess everywhere. What is there to say. Don’t go out of your way.
