It was supposed to be a children's pool, but the harbor seals took over and it's a main tourist and local attraction. Great picture spot.

We wanted to see the sea lions and we were not disapponted! How fun to be up close to so many of them. We enjoyed watching them swim and lay on the beach and sun.

Loved watching the mommas and babies hanging out on the beach or coming in from the water. It was late afternoon when we went and they were mostly resting. One baby was feeding and several were frolicking in the calm waters. Amazing sight!

I was so glad we made a special trip back one morning to see the harbor seals and sea lions. This place is beautiful and you can lose track of time watching the pups.

Incredibly tolerant wild Harbour seals with pups, fab to see them swimming in the sea from the quay above.

Even though it was closed to people, for good reasons, it was so neat to see the wildlife and their babies!! It was a neat sight. We will be back! It's a great place to come see and enjoy. Sunset was beautiful.

Visited the Children's Pool and got up close and personal with all the sea lions. Great spot to take kids and to see tons of sea lions.

A must stop during your visit to San Diego. Our family was amazed at the number of seals on the beach. Very cool experience.

We were in town for a conference and wanted to see the beach! Imagine our surprise when we found the seals! It was almost dark so the babies were resting but such a great, up close experience!

This was a very busy place, but since we stayed across the street, we visited nearly every day. It is called Children's Pool, but it is a Seal Pool. Children (all people) are not allowed to swim in this area....it is a seal protection area. There are people selling items of clothing which go to the info@spiritoftheenvironment.org. We were there... More
