The road has suffered the ravages of many years of heavy rains and neglect, so go slow over all the bumps and gravelly sections. You will be rewarded (on clear days) with sweeping view of the mouth of the Klamath and the mountains beyond.

Drove out the road on an overcast day and when we arrived at the overlook we were above the clouds and couldnt see a thing. The next day was much better. Its a nice pacific ocean view and well worth the short drive.

Fantastic views of Klamath and the coast. You can see for miles around with lots of wildlife. This is a tremendous spot for whale watching as the whales migrate down the coast. There is a great hike down to an observation deck which I highly recommend for a different angle and view of the stunning coastline. We saw beautiful hawks... More

The Klamath Overlook where the Klamath River meets the Pacific Ocean is an amazing view from above, along with a great place for a picnic. We spent most of an afternoon there.

Stayed at Requa Inn, so why not check it out... Saw bird's eye view of the Klamath River's Mouth, and beach along the way.

If you are driving on the Requa Road, head a few miles up the hill past the Historic Requa Inn for some amazing views of the mouth of the Klamath River as it spreads into the blue green waters of the Pacific. It's a wonderful overlook and part of the offerings of the Redwood National Park.

This place is seldom crowded except during the Salmon harvest festivals. there are roads on both sides of the river with overlook views. Take the 10 mile an hour loop to a picnic spot over a cliff with views far out up the coast. I take most of my visitors here especially to take pictures and see a subduction zone.... More

Windy road leading up to a viewing area. Views are wonderful. I could see the Pacific Ocean and the mouth of the Klamath River.

We followed the advice of the gentleman at the visitors center and stopped at many of the sites along Hwy 101 south of Crescent City. This was a great view across the river and out on the ocean.
