Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have visited Karuizawa many times and Kumoba Pond has never failed to amaze me with its charm and serenity.

It used to be overcrowded before the lockdown, and now it had very few visitors, which allowed me to engross in the beauty of its surroundings.

The landscape of Kumoba Pond is transformed in different seasons. Personally, I think the Pond is at its best with the autumn foliage.

The seasonal scenery may be very attractive, but it was not so beautiful when we visited at the end of Nov.

We simply walk to the pond from the station within half an hour.
A pond with beautiful red autumn leaves.
A place you can take a lot of scenic pictures. You can walk around quickly within 15 mins.
We prefer to walk in leisure enjoying the great scene.

Beautiful pond to take a stroll around in 15 mins. Also easy to access which brings a lot of tourists. Not easy to find parking. Lovely place during autumn.

I bicycled there very easily from the train station. You will need a warm hat and windproof layer as it's getting colder now. Lovely red leaves and still water. There is a single restaurant right next door, I didn't go in but there were plenty of tourists looking cosy in there.

Guess it all depends on the time of the year. Being September and not time yet for the autumn leaves, there was not really much but a hint of something great to come. Otherwise it is just a pond?

It is good to walk along the trail around the pond. Walkway is very shady. Even the water is not that clean, but in general nature scenery is quite nice. Best way to enjoy Karuizawa is riding bicycle. Cause of a lot of huge trees, thia area is not too hot during summer.

This pond looks MUCH better in the pictures than in reality. The water in the pond is dirty and cloudy. We tried to take a walk around the pond, but there are a lot of mosquitoes...

The view is great and you can enjoy a short walk around the lake in a few minutes. You can easily ride a bicycle to reach the lake.
