Since 2000, we have been producing small-lot, estate grown, single vineyard Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinotage grown on the golden edge of the continent. The Fort Ross Vineyard & Winery Tasting Room beckons. Fort Ross Vineyard is the closest vineyard to the Pacific Ocean in California. This is the first and only vineyard tasting room along the majestic Sonoma Coast in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA. From the Tasting Room there are panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean framed by tall Redwood forests and golden meadows.

If you are on Hwy 1 near Jenner, I recommend a brief detour to Fort Ross winery. Tasting room is beautiful and the Pinot Noir wine is exceptional. I am not typically a red wine fan but the Stagecoach was an exception.

It takes 10-15 minutes up a winding road to reach the winery. They have chardonnay and pinot noir for the most part for a $15 tasting fee. The wines are in the $45-60 range, though there are some more expensive reserves on offer as well....More

Outstanding mountain top views and very good chardonnay and pinot noir. Professional and knowledgeable staff. Bring a picnic and enjoy the grounds. Hidden Gem with views and wine and cheese.
