The Irvine Museum is a wonderful little museum featuring California Impressionist paintings. A half-hour or so is plenty of time to get a sense of what Southern California looked like 100 years ago. Admission is $5, seniors are free. Parking is validated. I live 30...More

The Irvine Museum concentrates on California Landscape Paintings, many from the turn of the last century, in thematically oriented exhibitions. Some of the finest of their kind, if you love California scenery, you will love this museum. Admission is free, and they will validate parking...More

I thought it would be one of those city museums I have seen in my Europe or Turkey travels. But this basically provides nice painting galleries. You can validate your parking ticket. It is then free.

The museum is such a nice place to see some beautiful artwork. A very peaceful setting to enjoy the artwork. You can find the art pieces in the museum store as well in notecards and books.

Small collection of truly great art. Loved getting to know the California Impressionists. Remarkable work of our beautiful state - in a way that makes you appreciate our surroundings even more. If you enjoy art - don’t miss this!

It’s a little hard to find in the lobby of an office building (they validate parking). They rotate their collection, and when I visited, they had California impressionists, some of which were very nice, others just ok

This "museum" is more like an art gallery that does not sell it's artwork, than the usual museum. The gallery is only one medium size room and so you visit will likely rather short. On the other hand admission is free and the exhibit I...More

Located in a nondescript business district, I never would have known there was a museum (which is more like a gallery if anything) here had I not looked it up online. It’s free to visit and park which is really nice, just ask the front...More

I'm a native Californian and an admirer of the California impressionist work, so I was so hopeful to see some of the artists and works I'd admired over the years. I know the Irvine family is heavily invested in this genre. We had a museum...More
