beautiful pier and view

Beautiful pier, friendly locals, and a great restaurant at the end. If you're lucky you'll see dolphins and sometimes navy seals training from this pier.

Stayed in Imperial Beach for a family vacation, and could see the pier from our balcony Long walk to the end, but so beautiful to see the ocean, and the surfers. Definatly worth the walk. Great food at the end as well. And there is a nice little ice cream shop at the park when you get back.

If you visit Imperial Beach you certainly do need to walk out to the end of the pier for the views of the beach and just to listen to the crashing waves. People stroll and fish along the pier and there is a restaurant at the end (where we did not eat). The sunset views from here are spectacular!

The local media has covered this catastrophe, a huge huge raw sewage spill from their TJ Mx neighbours to the south. Apparently a contractor or individual broke the main pipe and it flowed from the TJ river directly into the ocean, which currents carry it directly here. I recall coming here in the early 80s and the beaches were closed... More

Imperial Beach is south of most of the San Diego beaches like Mission or Coronado. Has a small town feel with a few good restaurants to check out. Pier is a good spot for fishing or a walk.

Great place to relax after doing the beach. Restaurant at end of pier and good ice cream at the beach. Also totally enjoyed microbrewery across the street.

The southernmost pier on the West Coast is something to marvel at. Unfortunately, the water below is not anything you want to submerge your body in. Look but don't touch...it's beautiful!
