Took the deer spring trail up about 3.1mi to suicide rock lookout. Quite nice hike with lots of great views along the way. The air feels dry so bring lots of water. Also got winded easily due to the altitude, so allow enough time for...More

We loved that this place was fairly undiscovered. Even during the holidays it was fairly quiet. Beautiful scenery. Lots of hikes and a great little village to stop and grab supplies.

Be sure to get a permit before you hike here, and leave the dog behind, as they’re not allowed. The hike is easy to begin with. It gets more strenuous as the elevation climbs. The reward for the hike is the view, the quiet, and...More
