My wife and I were fortunate enough that we were able to take one of the buses that were provided for people to watch them excavate the reservoir as it was being built. There were Archaeologists and Paleontologists that followed the removal of the dirt....More

They do a good job explaining the man made lake and it’s history - how it was built and whom it services - staff friendly -worth a stop !

The folks in the visitor center were very helpful in providing maps and directions to the opposite viewpoint area.

Took thr little ones to see the dinos. My daughter was in love. Highly recommended for the whole famil.

Very fun. Has a wolly mamouth there. Can purchase items. Tells you how the dam was built and what they found while digging.

If you are in the Hemet Ca area, you should visit the Diamond Lake Visitors Center. The California drought has made the importance of water conservation very well known here. The center has interesting exhibits on the aqueduct system which delivers the all important water...More
