Western Science Center is home to a fascinating array of Native American artifacts and Ice Age fossils that were unearthed at Diamond Valley Lake. You'll be moved by "Max", the largest mastodon found in the Western United States, as well as "Xena", a Columbian mammoth. Let your imagination run wild as you walk on tempered glass which houses "Little Stevie", a large mastodon installed beneath the museum floor to re-create the actual dig site.

Cool place for small kids. Size of these prehistoric animals is awsome. Interesting that you can see archiologists still working on preserving bones and skeletons of these animals. It's a small venue, doesn't take too long to visit. Take the grandkids and enjoy museum.

I love natural history museums. But this place is targeted for the very very young. Personally, I found it to be kind of useless. And I am very disappointed by that.

This, by far, is an excellent museum to take your out of town relatives to. They have many exhibits that change regularly. Some specimens found here not found anywhere else in the world. The entire area surrounding the museum is beautiful.

This museum is small but very interesting, especially for those who are interested in fossils. We didn't know that this area of California had so many extinct animals that used to roam the lands here outside of Hemet. The exhibits show bones from several types...More

Wonderful afternoon with friends from out of town. The exhibit is amazing, and a great day. Take a lunch and eat out on the fields.

An awesome place to go, you get to see the mammoth bones they dug up when they were making Diamond Lake and watch two films about how they did it. Very interesting with some interactive thing to do too.
