This new tasting room spotlights masterfully crafted cool-climate Pinot noir (from both the nearby Russian River Valley and the remote Mendocino Ridge) and Alsace-style whites, by the glass/bottle or on tap-a first for Healdsburg. No reservations are needed for the signature tasting at the tasting room bar. However, reservations are required in advance for a one-of-a-kind immersive tasting with samples that take you through every step in the transformation of the Pinot grape from harvest through fermentation to finished wine.

We were looking to taste white wines, so this was not the place for us since they feature Pinot Noirs. However, the staff was terrific in recommending other places nearby. If like Pinots this is the place! Great ambience, friendly staff and appeared to have a large selection.

Thanks for coming by! Our dry whites sold out in December, thus, we are all Pinot noir until April when we release two dry whites and the Rosé. Hope you'll come see us again this spring or fall to try our whites. More

We visited here 2 years ago and were blown away by their wines-especially their Pinots so we were excited to show them off to our friends and they did not disappoint. Alan and Serena do amazing work at this smaller winery. You can tell when visiting with them their passion for the work they are doing in making their wines.... More

As a group of 4 people we dropped in for a regular tasting during our 10 day visit to Sonoma. During our time in Sonoma we did many tastings and this was by far the least inspired. In our opinion, of 4 Pinot Noir we tasted only 1 was good enough to justify a second sip. The wine taste is... More

It was 99 degrees on the Healdsburg Plaza when stepped into the cool, calm Cartograph tasting room. A strange smell was off-putting at first (hence 4 stars) but I stopped noticing it after a couple minutes. Much more spacious than most wine tasting rooms, and, delightfully, had low sofas to sit on. Our server was gracious and came to us... More

This was our first visit to Cartograph and we really enjoyed the experience. The staff was very friendly, the tasting room bright and comfortable and the wines were very good. It's off the square about a block and it's worth finding!

We first visited Cartograph at the recommendation of a worker from a vineyard where multiple family are members. As we were planning to move abroad for a period, we hadn't planned on joining anywhere, but after meeting Serena and trying the wine, we couldn't resist. Everything we've had from Cartograph is wonderful, and Alan and Serena are incredible from a... More

We've been members of this winery for a while now, but each visit just seems to get better. The wines keep improving and they're sourcing excellent fruit from a variety of great vineyards. The winemaker Alan is amazing. Also, the value is as good as anywhere in Healdsburg, or Sonoma for that matter. A young winery with a solid foundation,... More

Stop in when you're in Healdsburg to this tasting room. I know there are a lot to choose from, but this one is special. The people who work there, the wines, the atmosphere, it all makes for a wonderful experience.

While visiting Wine Country with friends, we decided to drive north into Healdsburg to find Cartograph. Truth be told, I had noticed on Facebook that a high school classmate of mine from the East Coast was somehow connected with Cartograph. With no prior arrangements, we found my friend, Debbie, behind the tasting counter when we arrived and she gave a... More

We stopped by here during our stay in Healdsburg and were very glad we did. We were fortunate that Serena (co-founder) was in the tasting room and we got to enjoy a wonderful experience with her during our tasting. They have great "back story" to how they started Cartograph and it made the tasting that much more enjoyable. Several other... More
