    Wee Jasper, amazing place
This is an amazing place for anyone from families with young kids or the grey nomads. It is very quiet and peaceful, a very relaxing week away. The waterways are good for fishing, but remember to pack your fly rod. The staff at the reserve are lovely people and nothing is a problem for them. We went and had a tour of Carey's Cave while we were there and the gentleman that ran the tour was very informative.

    The Incredible Wee Jasper
We have loved Wee Jasper, and in particular Swinging Bridge, for many years. This trip was one of the best and your amazing, friendly staff are a big reason for that. Thank you for looking after the place the way you do, Happy New Year and we will see you again soon

    Perfect camping spot
Beautiful, peaceful ( except for the cockies) and pristine bushland. Was with a group of bushwalkers hiking in the area over 3 days. Lovely creek flowing through, which as great for a cooling off after a day's walk. Lots of families there enjoying the outdoor experience. Basic flushing toilets and hot showers. Well kept grounds. Definitely recommend

What a magical camping site! This is a very easy and short walk from the camp grounds along the creek to some small falls and water hole.

From the end of the trail there is then an optional unofficial steep track going up the side of the hill to the rock formation. There is a rope to get you up there so if you aren’t ready for a steep climb don’t go!

Amazing area with phenomenal views of the mountains and river. Great place to go for a swim and with kids and pets. As we were there we exasperated some of the hikes and walks that come off of the creek reserve and we would definitely come back again.

It’s my first time visiting this area
I am a traveler and camper
I have been everywhere but seeing this reserves my first impression was “Wow “!!!!
In total there are three reserves plus caves as fourth destination
I stayed overnight at first called Billy Grace Reserve and third Micalong Creek Reserve two nights .
Both reserves provide camping on large fields near river/creeks and all amenities are there like-toilets hot showers and basin with hot water for washing the dishes.
BBQ as well and fire safe areas .
Even we get free wood .We all know due COVID we have to do bookings online in my case at the time of visit I didn’t know , and still I was lucky to be allowed to stay because they provide money/envelope box .
All areas are just as beautiful as they can be but Micalong creek reserve is my fav because beside river there are large George and “ river pool “.
Walking track is easy grade till some point than become harder ( for little kids or elderly)otherwise ok to go to the end.
Beautiful Bush with so many natives around
I have been in early Spring so I was lucky to see everything in bloom.
Wow what else to add... I love this place and looking forward to visit again:)
Highly recommended.

If you like to visit the reserved, you can visit to the town and the cave because all it is very close. This reserve it is very small (has a toilet and picnic table) if you need buy something you can buy in the time next to the reserves. Also, you can visit the river and try to fish something. The lake don’t have to much water. But it is very nice place very peaceful.

We visited Micalong Reserve for a day trip while staying nearby. The short walk to the swimming hole is lovely and we enjoyed dipping our toes - we plan to come back when the water is a bit warmer! The campground was beautiful and looked like facilities were great for campers though we didn’t stay overnight. No shops nearby so you need to bring everythjng you need with you. Well worth a visit!

The camping itself was quite lovely and the area makes a great picnic/swimming spot but there's a nasty Karen at the camp store in Billy Grace Reserve. She's absolutely horrible and was incredibly rude to us. It kind of spoiled the whole trip to be honest. You can't avoid her as you have to pay your camping fees at the store. Won't go there again as long as that awful lady is working at the camp store.

We stayed 5 days at Micalong camp ground. The place is absolutely stunning, it’s also got toilets and showers with hot water which is a bonus. The grounds are taken care of so well, and everyone was so friendly to each other.

This is a dog friendly place, which was wonderful to see, almost every camp site had a dog or two. There is an amazing stream where the kids jump onto their floaters and float down the river. There is a water hole with a little waterfall and the Micalong walking track is absolutely stunning.

I cannot recommend this place enough.

There is a number of reserves close to one another at Wee Jasper, the most established is Billy Grace on Nottingham Road. Barbecues, playground, camp sites. It’s a very peaceful and beautiful place to stay for a few days and recharge. Was very quiet and well spaced. There is some great bush walks and some refreshing swimming holes as well. The valley itself is absolutely beautiful.

We stayed over night and it was absolutely amazing. There were so many animals and bugs and beautiful, massive campsites that give you plenty of room to yourself. The toilets were very clean and new, great showers and spaced so that you are not too far away from them but still a nice distance so that there aren't people walking past you every second.
Definitely recommend visiting!!

The reserve and facilities were so well maintained and clearly looked after. There were regular patrols and all the campers were so kind. I felt very safe.

Beautiful campsites with nice smooth grassy terrain (no sharp sticks or rocks under your sleeping bag - huzzah!) The hot showers were a plus.

Will definitely be going back. Great value!
