The enormity of this place is just awesome. The park is beautifully kept and natural, you mind runs riot with the majestic magnificence of the forests and mountains. Don’t think about it, just do it, you will not be sorry.
This really is the most beautiful national park that I have driven thru. It is so oh so very scenic and it takes you up to heights of 9000ft and then down. The road goes up and down and zig zag - just amazing.

We visited Stanislaus National Forest. This time we visited the area near Calaveras Big Trees Area. Stanislaus National Forest has 48,000 acres. Its a great place to camp, hike, fish, enjoy the winter, and more.
This is just an amazing National Forest to drive through. So many photo opportunities round every corner. So much to take in but well worth the drive.
