This really is the most beautiful national park that I have driven thru. It is so oh so very scenic and it takes you up to heights of 9000ft and then down. The road goes up and down and zig zag - just amazing.

We visited Stanislaus National Forest. This time we visited the area near Calaveras Big Trees Area. Stanislaus National Forest has 48,000 acres. Its a great place to camp, hike, fish, enjoy the winter, and more.
This is just an amazing National Forest to drive through. So many photo opportunities round every corner. So much to take in but well worth the drive.
