From the Madding Crowd! Here is a little bit of old Venice with commercial fishing boats and a working waterfront. A long embankment facing the Adriatic atop a 12 foot high seawall built up in stages (over the centuries?) provides great walking and jogging opps...More

We visited the island on a warm Saturday afternoon at the end of January, taking the No. 11 bus (I think that's the number) to its southern end and then walking halfway back and then catching a bus back to the ferry and Lido. It...More

We are planning to visit Pellestrina on our forthcoming trip to Venice, specifically because we want to eat at Da Celeste. Just wondering how far the No 11 bus travels along the length of the island. Will we be able to reach Da Celeste by bus, or are there other transportation options once we get to Pellestrina?
