Asking for 10 USD to park on a foggy day? A no go. But a little into the city, you can park and walk to the beach and enjoy a walk, even on a cold and foggy day. The beach is clean and due to...More

While it was 112 in Dallas, I was blessed with an overcast day by the bay. It was a steep hill down to the water and more steep coming back up! It was a clean beach. Everyone was so nice without being intrusive. Of course,...More

We camped at Half Moon Bay for one night. It is just an open area with no privacy at all, but the beach is fantastic!!! Just outside the city of San Francisco it was our last stop on a trip of California’s state parks. I...More

Beautiful beach along the west coast. Take your family and a nice picnic lunch. Don't forget sunscreen even if it's overcast. You'll have lots of memories to treasure.

I was so disappointed in the array , visitors leave the beaches. Their garbage was left on a place that should be respected and , it was such a mess I turned around and left after I took pictures of the bay.

We drove 90 mins in traffic for the chance for sun. It was not super sunny, but warm and nice. Not dirty, mildly crowded. No shower for after. Bathrooms were fine. Parking was pretty ample, and free. Overall a good experience. Not life changingly amazing,...More

Nothing wrong with crowds but if you want a slightly quieter experience, walk a quarter mile down from the parking lot to escape the crowds. Lovely site. Easy to get up and down from the beach.

This beach has breathtaking views. It has fine sand and on one side you can see the Ritz, on the other you can see beautiful rocks and on the back you see an amazing bridge. It’s a must see especially at sunset!

I stayed at the Half Moon Bay campground about a mile south of the center of town. At that point the sandy beach is about a hundred feet below a bluff. Going north there is a trail along the bluff for a half mile or so. Then... More

The walk-in sites are within 50 yards of parking. There is one small parking area at that corner of the campground that is for the exclusive use of tent campers. If you go to Google Earth it will take you to Dunes Beach... More
