Much of where we walk on this trail, from the harbor to Poplar Beach is about six miles, and all of it is paved and flat. It runs close to the water, but at some points, as the trail goes a little more inland, the...More

We went midday on a Friday. The weather was cloudy and 66F with a soft breeze. There were people, but it wasn't crowded. Parking was easy at the Kelly Ave. entrance. It cost $10 to park. The trail is paved and runs on an elevated...More

Loved walking this lovely, paved trail along the coast! You can bike, jog, or walk. People are very friendly. Many areas where you can get onto the beach.

This is one of my favorite hiking trails. It's not super crowded on the weekends. Also, for those who are casual hikers, this is a great trail. It's well maintained and goes right along the coast.

This is a beautiful, safe, well-used trail that traverses different terrain, all the while sticking close to the beach. You can go off the trail at many points and head to the beach if you would like. I saw 4 little wild rabbits on my...More

Easy walk, great place to see beautiful flowers blooming and birds stalking their prey. Watched a heron catch a field mouse 🐭. Caution on the path - it is a golf course and you are walking along side the fairways. Beautiful ocean scenery, nature at...More

This trail is quiet, paved, flat, accessible. We spent two hours early morning just leisurely walking. You can skate, jog, bike, etc. dog friendly trail for locals and tourists. Beautiful views of the Pacific and gorgeous wildflowers in bloom in July.

Best to access this walk from the State Beach and work south. At the south end are cemented stairs down to the beach, but you have to haul things a long way to get there. Access from the Ritz Carlton will cost $35 per day...More

There is no need pay. You can just find a place to park and hike. We chose to park at Francis Beach and walk to the Ritz Carlton. There was a small fee to park at the beach.
