Very interesting park. Grandkids enjoyed the mine and also the blacksmith shop. Enjoyed the tour through the home and docents story telling.

This place is beautiful! I attended a class field trip for my 3rd grader. I learned so much from the staff about the history of the park as well as the community. I will take my family members here when they come to visit from out of state.

This is a great place to stroll around and enjoy the well tended gardens. The docents are always great at giving the history of gold mining in the area. Very interesting.

I loved the gardens, old historic buildings, and the mine shaft. The people at the visitor's center were very helpful and nice! We spent a couple of hours walking the grounds! Great place to visit with a great deal of history!

Me and my fiance go on a picnic every spring to enjoy the wonderful gardens and walk the beautiful grounds. And if you've never been it is also a great place to get a glimpse into the life of miner and everything that went into running a mining operation

Took a docent-led tour of the "cottage", beautifully restored home-away-from-home of the owner. The buildings and grounds are in great condition compared to most mines which have fallen apart. A Must-See is the visitor center's metal wire model of the mine tunnels. The mine is astonishingly huge under ground.

Empire Mine is the perfect place to walk/run/bike or even ride your horse. I prefer running with my running group. The trees lend plenty of shade, it's quite, beautiful, and relaxing, even while running. The terrain is up and down with well marked trails that can lead you deep into the forest of pines and oaks.

Although gems were not mined here gold was! The grounds are well maintained on this once great mine. A truly eye opening glimpse into the past and the daily hardships these brave miners face on a daily basis.
