The Guest House has a varied schedule, so check before going. We have been very fortunate in always getting such well informed docents when we visit historic places and David May was no exception. He graciously told us the history of the house and Mendocino....More

The Guest House is an authentic piece of Mendocino area history. A must see stop for a glimpse of life in the logging era replete with photographs and artifacts of a bygone day. The giant slab of redwood at the entrance is most impressive.

Part of the museum is still being renovated but the parts that are finished are very well done. The docent was very informative and friendly. Lots of old photos made this interesting.

This is a great place to start learning about the history of Fort Bragg. It's small, you can cover it in about 30-45 mins but it's free (small donation suggested) and gives a lot of information that would perhaps help you see the town in...More
