Visited Glass Beach recently, and found it.....very average. crowded (though it was the weekend) and showing its wear from too much love. And while there may have once been glass floating up on this beach from distant places, it is unlikely anyone will ever find...More

Unfortunately the years have taken their toll on Glass Beach. Once a unique spot to see years of trash glass tumbled by the sea, there is now little to see as people continue to search the shore for glass to take away.

Okay, so when I looked up this location and decided to go, I thought I'd see glass EVERYWHERE. If this is also what you're expecting, you're going to be disappointed. It's a beautiful location and when you find an area with the glass by the...More

Clearly your review is dependent on your expectations. Or perhaps what part of the beach you visit. First off, on a Sunday early afternoon in early June this place was crowded. Despite a sign listing, among other things, that you shouldn't take "things bringing to...More

Something in that title may seem amiss, where's the word 'glass' ...as there is none at the beach to speak of I felt it unfair to use it here. That said it's a pleasant walk and kids may find hunting for glass pleasant, but I...More

This park is another place in Fort Bragg that invites visitors to stroll, bike, and explore. The pathways are spacious & easy to negotiate. The views are spectacular and we can't wait for the connection to the southern park to be completed (hopefully soon?). The...More

Such a beautiful area. Love feeling the spray of the ocean on my face. Seeing all the glass that had been smoothed by the water. Amazing. Spent 3 hours there could have stayed longer.

The glass is actually from the nearby dumps. Not a lot of glass anymore, however, you will find some. It's interesting. The beach has a trash odor but if you want to stop and check it out, it's worth a drive by.

I expected to see tons of sea glass. There was definitely a lot and my kids easily found pieces but it was definitely more pebbles than glass. Other than that, we got some cool pictures and the kids enjoyed looking for the more rare colors.

No. But there are plenty of other areas to be at. Go to Mackerriker State Park in Fort Bragg, CA. The first entrance is the camping area. The second entrance takes you down to picnic areas, boardwalk, ocean, tide pools... More
