Friendly, organized, campground, easy to get going, cash only. Follow the directions on the website - GPS doesn't always get you there. We loved the first 2/3 of the trip with easy paddling, great views, nice beaches to stop at. The last 1/3 was tough...More

Burke's is my favorite place to rent kayaks. You start in Forestville and end just past Stumptown Brewery in Guerneville. In total it's 10 miles. It's a great trip. Be prepared to be attacked by massive groups of kids with skirt guns or just a...More

Great time and magnificent scenery. Burkes is a great outfit. They were friendly and professional. They are also the least expensive. I can't, for the life of me,  figure out why the other companies are charging so much.  Others have said they were exhausted by...More

This is a great way to get some exercise and enjoy Northern California nature at its finest. It isn't an "easy" adventure as other reviewers have mentioned. We rented a canoe and we worked hard for the 2 hours we "drifted" down stream. The river...More

Is there likely to be any dogs in the campsite and during the canoeing journey? My son is terrified of dogs

We didn't see any people with dogs in their canoes! And if there are dogs at any of the private beaches, canoe renters are not allowed to land there anyway.
