Clean water, however lake is low, but plenty of water for swimming and boating. Some dead fish and dog droppings on the beach, but since water is low you can find a nice beach.

First time here!! Overwhelmed with how warm the waters and friendly lifeguards on duty. Great place for family reunions, or just a day with grandbabies. Already have plans for another weekend! Happy summer life.

We normally buy a season pass and take our grandkids here during the warm months. They have a great time and the price is reasonable for the kids to have an outing to the beach once a week.

Granite Bay is the best place to launch a boat at Folsom Lake, just take Douglas Blvd. to the east and it dead ends into the entrance of the State Park. Entry fees are modest considering the fun to be had on the other side...More

We love this place. Sometimes we meet up with friends to cookout and swim all day . There's even a boat that comes around with ice ctream and snacks!

Not on shore. It was banned from the lake in 2003. Exceptions are made for special events and for boats not touching shore.
