What an amazing view of the wilderness! However do be careful of the bedouins who are nomads. They will try to sell you different accessories ranging from scarf, belts and bangles. The children could be quite pushy as tourists are their only source of income....More

If you to hike this is your place. Be aware when coming on warm days to drink planty. Also plan ahead where to start and finish the hike since it ta a very long trail.

We went with a group so i am not sure if there are buses or tour operator we spend few hours while coming back from dead sea.

hi Bob, depends on which hike... we did a hike with 3 young kids to the monastrery and back in about 1 hour.
