Local art to view

Best time to go for me is Arts Alive; there is often finger food and a good crowd. The art can vary from the sublime to the ridiculous, but it is worth a try. One of the many things to do in Old Town, but does not compare to a large city gallery.

Mostly HSU student derived art, constantly changing (luckily) artwork. It is definitely on the fringe of what I consider to be art, but interesting to see how the youth interprets life through art.

A top notch contemporary fine arts gallery, located on California's North Coast.

This university-based gallery has excellent art exhibitions that change on a monthly basis. There's always something there to see or learn about. The gallery exhibits a wide variety of types of art and often will run two different exhibitions at the same time in its large, bright facility.
