Stone Brewing Co. was founded in 1996 by Steve Wagner and Greg Koch in North County San Diego, CA. It is the largest craft brewery in the southwestern United States and has been named "All-Time Top Brewery on Planet Earth" by BeerAdvocate magazine - TWICE! A recently announced $26.6M expansion plan (that includes a hotel among other lofty ventures) is underway, as are developments to become the first American craft brewery to open a brewhouse in Europe. The adjacent Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens plays host to countless wildly popular beer and dining events, and is the largest purchaser of local, organic produce in San Diego County, including a growing amount from their own Stone Farms! In addition to promoting ethical eating, the restaurant boasts a lush one-acre outdoor garden as well as a line-up of 32 rotating taps and 100+ bottled craft beer selections for guests to enjoy.

This place was great! Came for a late lunch during the week. The interior design and outdoor space was beautiful. The food was very good. They have sample pours on the house which was a nice touch. Very friendly staff!

The Stone Brewery is a brewery, restaurant and park...all in one. The food is pretty good but a bit pricey. The suds are great with many choice and they have wine too. They have a great garden are to walk through or just enjoy and on summer weekends they have a movie festival there too.

Being from out of town we only have the opportunity to visit Stone a couple of times a year but have been coming since the year after it opened. They have excellent craft beer, I mean excellent. Very creative combinations and amazing flavor. The food is pretty good as well, they change the items on their menu so you have... More

The stone world bistro in Escondido is the Mecca of craft beer. Not only is it one of the most beautiful settings, but the beer and food menu is eclectic. Beer enthusiasts and all others will enjoy its environs.

Have always been a big fan of Stone Brewery beers so this a must go on my trip out to San Diego. Was not disappointed. Amazing facility and friendly staff. If you have the time definitely take the tour. It's very inexpensive and comes with several beer samples. The food is a little "different" for a brewery but overall this... More

We had a little trouble finding this gorgeous spot, but once we found it we were enamored with it's beauty. A nice selection of brews - I'm not an IPA fan but put together a flight of coffee milk stout, Xocoveza, and 2 others I can't remember the names of - but they were all very delicious and drinkable. Our... More

Out of the way location. The garden setting in in the restaurant is perfect. Better than a German Beer Garden due to the comfort of the umbrellas for shade. Wonderful selection of beer, great and varied menu. Service was friendly, attentive. The decor is interesting and relaxing. Would highly recommend. Good for any occasion. You'll leave with a smile!
