There are 6 nice, moderate hikes in the Daley Ranch/Dixon Lake area. You can see lots of flowers and trees year round, some which are marked along the hiking trails. The 2.5-mile hike up to the house is just a little steep so you may...More

You might notice from other posts, we did a wine tasting road trip. All of wineries along the road, and there are many, are very good, all different, very busy. The tasting can be very expensive at all of the locations. But yes would do...More

There are various trails to select from. In the summer make sure to bring plenty of water and watch out for ticks. I don't bring the dogs there in the summer, it's too hot and the ticks are bad. You don't want to be out...More

A great place to stretch our legs and get an invigorating hike. If you like to go on horseback there are some great trails.

I really enjoyed hiking Daley ranch for the day. It's a beautiful view once uphill. You can hardly tell you walked a long trail. Afterwards, enjoyed row boating in Lake Dixon. There's activities for families, couples and friends. I would definitely go again.

We enjoy this hike around Lake Dixon. It's an easy hike with very little uphill. No poles required. Our 4 year old grandson made this hike with us. Come early to beat the heat with water. Takes an hour.

Daly Ranch has everything a hiker, biker, dog walker, runner could want....all can have fun on the trails back in the hills above Escondido. Bring water on a hot day....some trails are easier then others...adjacent to Dixon Lake with trail views of the lake..
