10,881 feet it's the highest peak in Tahoe. We used the Armstrong pass trail and Tahoe Rim trail. 4,000 feet elevation gain. I am not sure how many miles of hiking at 9,000 feet up. Hydrate and take care that you do not get altitude sickness. Symptoms is a headache however slight. One in our group new this was happening... More

You gotta earn this one. Extremely confusing to find the trailhead, be sure to check multiple sources and plan ahead for a little confusion. The hike is deceptively easy for the first few miles, a pleasant, undulating stroll through the glorious high Sierra.
