Wonderful sandy beach

Lots of volleyboard set ups, snack bar, bike rentals and a large, wonderful Sandy beach. It is a bit rocky down by the water. The waves were a good beginner surfer size.

Nice place to walk in the morning and during breaks at conference. Jealous of those who have a daily view from their homes.

The location of this campground is great. Right next to the ocean. Hard pads with sandy tent areas and some tree cover for shade. Mostly back in spots with only a few pull thrus. Try for the ocean side ones with direct views of the pacific. But none are far from the beach. Fire rings and concrete picnic tables Down... More

This beach has a little bit of something for everybody. If you love the surf and sand it is here with gusto. There is also some grassy areas it you want a little less messy (sandy) experience. Lots of picnic tables and cooking areas. A small aquarium is fun to check out. The only downer is the state turned off... More

This beach is beautiful but not as user friendly as The Strands Beach which is far less rocky and much cleaner. Due to the breakwall for the harbor, this beach doesn't have very clean water like the beach at The Strands does!

Overnight camping available. North end of beach has an outside meter parking. Surf usually on the small size which is good for learning and Paddle boarding. Snack bar, lifeguards, picnic tables, fire rings, and group sites to reserve. Plenty of parking.

We enjoy swimming in ocean and we're not able to even enter water. Beach is all rock and has very sharp drop off right off shore. Beautiful park but only good for surfing.

This is a great beach right by the freeway. Perfect rolling surf for beginners and protected from bigger surf by the Dana Point harbor. Parking is decent, near the park area. Really nice grass fields to relax. The beach continues down to a more basic beach with parking and bathrooms. That is all. Be aware, the beach is covered in... More

Visited for a barefoot wedding on the brach. The bride came towards the gazebo with a path lined with shells.

Nice snack bar and restrooms. Camping ground at this location. Beaches are very rocky so no skim-boarding. There were a lot of surfers.
