The park at Doheny Beach was a perfect walk from the hotel. The morning walk was perfect along the marina and then onto the part area. Plenty of walking area, parking, picnic tables are adjacent to the beach. Other walkers, bikers, and surfers dotted the...More

We enjoyed the clean beach but unfortunately were there during an outdoor music festival and the music really ruined the beauty of the ocean. There were lots of families at the beach and the bands could be heard screaming explicit lyrics. Did not see a...More

We're on the beach at the time of the eclipse. Great beach and campsites. Only regret was not having more time there.

A nice beach used mostly by surfers probably due to the rocks and drop off close to shore which makes it more difficult for swimming and/or kids to play in the waves.

It can get somewhat dirty along the surf line but it is a wide beach with ample parking. The waves are a good size for beginners. There are many picnic tables, volleyball and grassy picnic areas as well as a very fun restaurant, Boney's, where...More

Lots of space for families and groups. The snack bar was open and accessible and there were bikes and surfboards available for rent.

Beach is in a nice location right near the harbor. Sand could be a lot better, though. Lots of sticks and rocks all over makes for a tough walk. There is a concession stand and rentals onsite.

Each Campsite has it's own raised steel circular ring with a cooking grate that takes up 1/3 on top opening. You can burn wood inside the ring for a camp fire or for cooking.
