Well worth a visit if you are in the area. It's a bit overgrown but offers a wonderful view of the Guadiana river with Spain beyond.

You see Spain and the river. You really feel the histor. The castle is old but you may still imagine the old times.

Though it is still in ruins, the place has a special magic. Along the Guadiana River, you can look to Spain, a few meters down, and have a great view to Alqueva. The ruins of Juromenha deserve the stop!
