    Worth It!
This was on my to-do list because it was affordable and smart. We parked in Coronado and took the ferry to the Broadway Pier. We walked all the way down to the Children's Museum and Gaslamp to eat. We got back on by the Convention center and headed back to Coronado. Yes we walked a lot, but had no stress finding and paying for parking everywhere we went. The views were spectacular and the boat was not crowded at all.

Fun ferry ⛴️ ride to the Coronado Island!
Great way to get from downtown San Diego across to the Coronado Island. $8.00 per person each way is well worth it! We did the short ferry (15min) one way to the Coronado Island (pick up by the Hilton, by The Rady Shell concert venue at Jacobs Parkshell), and did the Long Way back (30mim) to the main land which dropped us off right by the USS Midway Museum. The ferry ⛴️ runs every 30 min, they are very punctual. Lots of seating for guests up on the top deck or below if you prefer. Getting tickets is easy, either right at the Port in a self-serve kiosk machine, or by scanning a QR code and ordering online. Pricing is the same for both online or at the Port. The price is also the same for the short ferry 15min and the long ferry 30min. It's all the same ticket. I would definitely recommend it, it's a nice quick way to see San Diego harbor from the water. Beautiful skyline! And definitely worth crossing over and wondering around at the Coronado Island!!!

    Night Photos
It was a great location for night cityscape of San Diego. Parking is free for first 2 hours. I took some great pictures and met another great photographer from San Francisco taking night photos. The other people there were out fishing and real nice. The pier have restrooms, restaurants, and shops. The shops closed around 10pm.

The Ferry is so easy!. Bikes are free on the Ferry or you can rent one near the landing in Coronado. Biking around the island is popular. The ferry cost is $7 each way and you don't need to decide in advance if you want round trip. The ferry ride is only 15 minutes so just sit in the sun and enjoy the surrounds. Note: the Ferry landing is across the island from the Hotel Del Coronado. It about 2 miles to the Hotel and Beach if you want to see those too. You can walk along Orange Ave where there are plenty of places to eat and rest. We decided to Uber back rather than walk back to the Ferry landing.

This was something new that we had never done before in the numerous years we have been visiting San Diego. The boat ride was short, about 30 mins, and walking around the island was fun.

Took the local bus to the Hotel Del Coronado and walked through the grounds and hotel. This is where they filmed Some Like It Hot with Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. Considered to be one of the greatest films of all time. Although I heard that they only filmed outside the hotel. Inside scenes were filmed at the studio. They had just recently refinished all of the wood work in the lobby when we visited in October 2022.

There are some quante little outdoor eating spots that have views of the bay. Not many people around in mid October. A few of the establishments were close however.

Very easy to cross the bay. Either to the convention center or the Boardwalk Pier. $10 round trip or $5 one way. The Flagship team was so friendly and nice. If they have a smaller boat running and you have a bike be ready to get upfront as they will only take 6 at a time. Much easier than driving.

Any boardwalk area has its share of cheap souvenir and tee-shirt shops. Not atypical, they are all over here but there are some beautiful gems waiting to surprise.

Very nice restaurants such as Peoche's and Il Fornaio, a blond sand beach, and a very long walking and biking path along the shore make The Coronado Ferry Landing a very enjoyable day outing.

Get there via the free shuttle and take the $5 ferry to San Diego rather than driving across the bridge and fighting for parking.

Any visit to Coronado should include a visit to the ferry landing.

Not far away is Ferry Center where we parked our bikes shopped a little and got a bite to eat. Walking paths and the public beach make this a popular little spot. If not limited on time, the ferry is an eventful way to access Coronado Island.

Rejuvenated, we rode back and said good-bye to beautiful Coronado Island and hello to a little Italian flair in San Diego.

After dinner on Coronado, catch the last ferry back to the Convention Center at 10:30 and enjoy the beautiful San Diego skyline at night before heading to the Gaslamp District for a fun night out. Very romantic when you have the boat to yourself. The stairs are open to go up and over the Convention Center and straight into the Gaslamp, but it is a lot of steps.

Great, cheap, nice ride to Coronado from the embarcadero or vice versa. No bathroom on board and nothing to buy, but it is only a 15 minute ride. Easy going--you won't get seasick. You can buy tix from window or machine.

We took our aunt and uncle and other relatives here so they can take the Ferry to cross over to Harbor. It is so much fun not to have to worry about parking on the other side. Then we ate at the Fish Market and took pictures. It is not only convenient to take the Ferry but a good experience to see the San Diego Skyline.
