Took the ferry daily to the convention center while attending a conference. Tickets can be purchased from an automated machine and were fairly inexpensive. The trip to the convention center was less than 10 mins. The views of San Diego from the Ferry Landing were...More

Took the little ferry from near the convention centre...about 10 minutes to get there. Ferry Landing has an array of cute looking shops, but actually very disappointing as except for a couple of them, were filled with junk and touristy stuff. There are several restaurants...More

We ubered to the ferry landing to pick up the ferry to Coronado. The platform was huge with so many boats, kiosks and people milling about. Very clean and well organized. We found our ticket booth by asking another booth where it might be and...More

I was in San Diego for a conference and looking for a quick trip away from downtown. I found the 5th avenue ferry station (city side of Joe’s Crab Shack) to be easy, safe and cheap. Tickets are available at an automated machine at the...More

The ferry is a very convenient way to get from Coronado to San Diego or the reverse if you don't have a car. From The Landing you have phenomenal views of the San Diego Skyline. However, the rest of the landing is quite obviously aimed...More

We want to go to Coronado or take a boat tour, so we decided to ride the Ferry over to Coronado Island and then walked to the Del Coronado Hotel. Ferry was cheap, maybe $10 round trip, and quickest way to the island. Great walk...More

I took the ferry from San Diego to Coronado Island for a walking tour of the island. The landing and a fairy or well-maintained and easy to navigate.

Some fun things to do with adults and children. Fishing off the pier is free with no license required. Lots of shops and casual foodie places. Island Pizza is VERY good....BBQ (Little Piggies) a good spot as well. Cocktail Hour at Il Forniao is terrific....More

The ferry landing is pretty boring. A handful of locals fish off the end. Tourists line up to take the ferry.

Hi Maria. Are you planning to take the ferry FROM Coronado or TO Coronado? If taking it from Coronado, you should have no problem parking in the large parking lot that serves the shopping plaza. It is free. The ferry... More

It’s about 1/2 a mile walk. Easy day. I would recommend you exit the ferry and head towards the Hilton, then use the foot bridge over the road and rail road tracks. It’s a nice view and not that much more of a distance.

Some times during the year there is a free shuttle. Otherwise it is about a half hour or so to walk.
