My husband and I had a lovely afternoon sitting on a park bench overlooking this beach. Street parking was easy to navigate, and we watched as families lazed about, flying kites and splashing in the surf. The view was spectacular, and something I won't soon...More

Absolutely beautiful beach; mica flakes in sand look like gold dust. A must visit! Great for trip with family or for a couple. I enjoyed it very much on my own as well.

I've been going to this beach since 1982. That's when I had my honeymoon in Coronado. I love this beach, because it's not a crowded beach, you can bring your dog at dog beach there and you can have a fire pit night with your...More

My family and I always take weekend strolls here because of the sidewalk running parallel to the ocean. Our child isn't ready for sand and surf, but a casual stroll up and down the beach does us just fine.

This is a great beach: Plenty of sand, good bathrooms, wheelchair accessible (or as accessible as a beach can be), lifeguards, fairly gentle sloping beach, and the opportunity to watch cool military equipment fly/sail by.

Although I no longer live there, I grew up in San Diego and spent my summers at different beaches along our coast. Back then we had to ride a ferry to get to Coronado, so that wasn't a big beach location. But since the bridge...More

I've never stayed at the hotels on the island but have heard they're exceptional rooms and have great service although quite expensive.
