Go for a hike through the waterfalls loop, head to the top and check out the peak and museum, head to rock city and climb around, or take a bike ride up the slopes.

Well worth the trip. While it was generally a clear day we couldn't see San Francisco other than the top of Sutro tower and tip of the bay bridge due to the slight humidity. If possible time it on a clear day after a winter...More

10 per car entry fee but you drive up 3800 feet to the summit of Mt. Diablo. Incredible views of the surrounding valleys.

It is a ten mile drive to the top of Mt. Diablo which feels like forever!! One of those roads with drop-offs and few guardrails but absolutely worth it. You can also take one of many hikes or bike ride to the top. The views...More

After reading various reviews online, and given that my visit was during literally the hottest weekend of the year, I planned to arrive early. I entered the park a bit after 7:30 a.m. (their sign claimed the official opening time was 8:00 a.m., for whatever...More

Even after being away from MDSP for many years, I often reminisce about the times I hiked (more like "strolled") through the Park either solo or with friends. It was a grand spot for sunsets in those days. Hope it still is...

I did go to the website and decided to try here for an answer. Since then spent one night at Juniper site no area to jump in water or fish but a very nice campground and not far to the peak. I will return for more.
