I visited Carmel Plaza a couple of times while staying in Carmel. Both times, there were very few people out and about at the Plaza. I came here as it is dog friendly,. Perhaps it was the time of year (Christmas season) and people had already completed their holiday shopping. There were a couple of stores that I was interest... More

We stopped here for lunch on the Easter weekend. Many of the shops were participating in an Easter Egg hunt which was a lovely touch for kids. The lovely opening air mall is really pleasant to shop and there are some great restaurants.

No matter where you turn, great galleries to experience, wine rooms all around and food to die for! Shopping here is awesome, fun stores for home goods, Paloma's always a favorite...and wonderful boutiques for those unique gifts and treats. Wish we lived here, I could easily love this life! Peeps are friendly too!

Carmel Plaza is filled with lots of shops, galleries, restaurants, and places for wine tasting. The parking was an issue. Expect to park along the side streets or in big public parking lots that require walking a couple of blocks to the plaza.

We got dropped here for a coffee/bathroom break on a tour and, although it's an attractive mall, does not have too much to warrant a long stay. $10 for a cup of tea and a piece of stale cake seems too pricey.

Carmel Plaza has a great laid-back atmosphere with a lot of great shops and restaurants. It's nice to walk around and explore the streets and little pathways. I found a lot of special gifts and souvenirs just by walking around for a couple of hours. The restaurants are delicious and there's always something to do. Definitely recommend for a relaxing... Nice atmosphere with lovely gardening but the problems I had with this area of shops is they are all over priced chain stores I can visit at malls. Not what you come to Carmel for. Putting bathroom on third floor not smart very remote. There is an elevator but hard to find. Most disappointing of all is the store that... More

I loved the look of this shopping mall, very quaint and well kept with lots of outdoor seating. However it is lacking in decent shops. Not somewhere I would head to for any sort of shopping - apart from the cheese shop!

Thank you for writing to us. The Cheese Shop has been everyone's favorite shop for many years. It has been in the Plaza for the past 40 years-an all time favorite. Hope you come back and visit. By then, there will be additional shops for you to explore and find the treasures you are seeking. More
