Fabulous Campground, large spaces! I like full hooks up which they have about 20 sites with Electric and Water but no gray water at the site, they do have dump sites on the way out. The bathrooms & showers are maintained very clean and large sinks outside for washing dishes if needed. The staff was very friendly too. The beach... More

This is a beach for walking, sitting and staring at the ocean, or watching the dolphins and sea otter frolic. I also recently cycled during negative low tide on this beach. It is with few others, clean and rustic, as a beach should be!

Brought a group out for a half week of camping (MH, trailers and tents). The weather report was predicting rain and winds. We arrived, it was 78 and sunny. It did cloud up some, but only rained during sleeping hours (answer to prayer). When we arrived to the campground, each of the sites looked amazing, they had mowed the lawns... More

We really enjoyed sitting out in the sun, and walking along he ocean here. Back home was foggy and cold, but here it was sunny and fantastic! There was lots to see as we walked along, with plenty of neat houses to look at, right along the beach. It would be a great place to come back to in the... More

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. It is hard to get in, so reserve early. The location cannot be beat.

We only visited the beach, not the campgrounds. At the beach, there was a sign that said no dogs allowed (there were still a bunch of dogs on the beach). The sunset was very pretty from the beach. There were a bunch of surfers out too, which was pretty cool to watch.

Great beach with gorgeous views and a perfect beach walk. Dogs are welcome and they LOVE it!!! Will happily return any time we visit the Santa Cruz area and will be sure to bring the pup along.

We are from Australia and hired an RV with our 2 kids aged 10 & 11 and we stayed at New Brighton State Beach campgrounds for 1 night in Dec 2016. After spending the day in Santa Cruz we arrived without a booking when it was dark at approx 6pm and we were lucky to get a spot. It was... More

I've camped here in the summer and visited in the winter, too. The campsites are not huge, but it's hard to complain when they are just a climb down to the beach. Watch for dolphins! Spotting them near sunset was an unforgettable experience.

This is a fairly large campground close to a wonderful beach and beautiful Capitola. It is relatively close to the 101 so depending on where your site is located a freeway hum is almost unavoidable. We reserved a so called premium site (89) which provides more space. Ours did have ocean view and you could put a seat down at... More
