The delicious restaurants and beach bars lining capitola beach were so retro and interesting. Seeing the sun set over this colorful artist palate town was truly unique.

The boardwalk itself provides for good people watching, and in addition, there is the sight of watching people attempt to be lowered off the pear to the water for paddle boarding and kayaking – what an ordeal! The shop on the boardwalk has boats and...More

Although a very tiny beach, Capitola is unique in the way the tiny, colorful Mediterranean style village lines the waterfront, reflecting off of the Soquel creek that cuts through the beach and through the town. Complete with wharf, a winding esplanade, and fabulous fauna, it's...More

The beach is small and when we were there was covered in debris from the winter storms. There is a nice wharf with boats you can rent.

Had a great beach day with family here. Went on Saturday so parking was a challenge but the beach and atmosphere was great

Such a cute place. So many restaurants to choose from. Crows nest, etc. artsy community with beachy themes. Don't stay in Santa Cruz. The beaches here were great for kids.

Every week, sometimes every day, the Capitola beach changes. Very Nice, Beautiful little coastal town. Great places to eat, nice shops, awesome beachfront views. Will definitely return for a future visit.

This is a pretty small beach so if you are coming for a family day it may not be the best beach. Because of Margaritaville and the surrounding restaurants Capitola is more of an adult location with not a lot of children. Occasionally swimming is...More

Viewed the Beach along the roadside to the lighthouse. This time of year there was debris of driftwood and kelp. Okay for the time

It is a long and wide sandy beach. The edge, away from the water, is a low seawall (for Winter storm surges). A wide cement sidewalk runs its entire length and is welcoming to wheelchairs. As a matter of fact, the Capitola... More

Not sure if they have hours posted. I've been there after 10pm and saw a few other people there also. Most other beaches in the area just don't want campfires past 10pm.
